This policy explains how YUONEWS selects, prepares, reviews, labels, and corrects editorial content.

Editorial scope

YUONEWS focuses on practical nutrition, dietetics education, nutrition services, and evidence-aware food and weight-management decisions for general readers. We avoid publishing unrelated bulk topics simply to increase page count.

Source hierarchy

We prefer primary and authoritative sources: government agencies, universities, professional associations, official program or product documentation, regulatory filings, clinical guidelines, and original peer-reviewed research. Secondary sources may be used for context but should not replace the original source when it is available. Company testimonials, customer reviews, marketing pages, and anonymous posts are not treated as independent evidence.

Research and fact-checking

• Identify the reader’s question and the decision the page should help with.
• Check important facts against more than one reliable source when practical.
• Link directly to material supporting high-impact or time-sensitive claims.
• Distinguish official facts, third-party findings, and editorial judgment.
• State important limitations, uncertainty, jurisdiction, dates, and exceptions.
• Recheck prices, benefits, policies, credentials, and program requirements at the official source before relying on them.

Health and other high-stakes topics

Health content is educational and should be conservative about benefits, risks, and certainty. It does not diagnose or prescribe. Articles should identify situations requiring a physician, registered dietitian, pharmacist, mental-health professional, or other qualified practitioner. Legal, financial, and insurance statements are general information and must direct readers to official documents or qualified advisers.

Products, services, and comparisons

We state whether information comes from official specifications, third-party evidence, customer reports, or editorial analysis. We do not claim hands-on testing, purchase, enrollment, laboratory analysis, provider interviews, insurer confirmation, or professional review unless it actually occurred and can be documented. Research-only coverage is labeled as such.

AI assistance

AI tools may assist with outlining, language editing, summarization, or organizing research. AI output is not accepted as a factual source. Claims must be checked against the cited material before publication. We do not intentionally publish unreviewed bulk AI output, fabricated quotations, invented experience, or synthetic credentials.

Authorship and credentials

Articles may be published by YUONEWS when no individual contributor is identified. The site does not represent YUONEWS as a medical, dietetic, legal, financial, or academic credential. A specialist review is credited only when the reviewer, relevant qualification, scope of review, and date can be documented.

Dates and updates

Pages should display a publication or review date. Material changes should update the review date. Time-sensitive topics are rechecked when resources permit; the absence of a new date is not a guarantee that information remains current.

Corrections

Readers may submit correction requests through the Contact page. Please include the page URL, disputed statement, and supporting source. When a supported correction materially changes meaning, the page should be updated promptly and the review date changed. Minor spelling or formatting corrections may be made without a separate notice.

Independence, advertising, and conflicts

Advertising must be visually separate from editorial content. Advertisers do not receive approval rights over ordinary editorial conclusions. Paid placement, sponsorship, free products, affiliate links, or other material relationships must be disclosed clearly when they exist. We do not infer endorsement from a link or mention.

Images

Images should be original, AI-generated with a generation record, public domain, CC0, or used under a license permitting the intended commercial use. The media record should store author, original source URL, license, retrieval or generation date, modification status, and descriptive alternative text. Unknown-source images must not be relabeled with invented permission.
